Amy Edwards’ For the Love of Learning is a must-read! It articulates the principles of
Leadership Education, and education in general, from a whole new perspective that will
delight and empower both beginners and veterans alike.
--Oliver & Rachel DeMille, Founders Thomas Jefferson Education
For the Love of Learning is a beautifully written and insightful book crafted with the
approachability, wit, love for knowledge, and awareness of a genuine teacher. As a
graduate student in psychology, I enjoyed discovering another layer of understanding
regarding childhood education. For the Love of Learning made me reflect on my own
educational experiences and on how I might approach education in the future with my
own children. This book truly has something to offer each person that picks it up. It will
make you think about education, how to become more involved in the process of
learning, and how to find a love of learning and instill that within your family.

This book is great for one to use as a resource. The author thoughtfully breaks down this stage of learning for those who are treading on the Love of Learning path. I like that the information is based off of her experiences, research from renowned child psychologists and others who have sought to give their child(ren) a more enjoyable education. I also appreciate that the author gives examples of book titles that she has found helpful along the way of teaching. If you have wondered how exactly to step away from the mainstream way of education, this book will definitely give some more insight.
This is an amazing book! I got it at a conference and it has changed how I homeschool. It is also the homeschool book I refer other homeschoolers to most often.
Great resource for learning how to light the spark of self education.
Amy Edwards really understands the most important concept in education - that we must love to learn in order to really learn. This book is a must read for anyone involved in working with kids -from public school teachers to home schooling parents alike.
I don't know what to say... this book just has the best information I've ever read to encourage your children to LOVE to learn... It's a must read for any teacher or parent.
What people are saying about LOLIPOP Seminars & Webinars ....
I loved the seminar. It was just what I needed to keep me motivated and inspired in homeschooling. The biggest thing I learned was how to implement projects for my kids.
It was the education I didn't know I needed..I realized that my son is on the cusp of love of learning phase, and it was great to get an overview of the phase, its goals, its characteristics, etc. It's still up to me to do my best to inspire love for learning. On the flip side, also nice to be reminded that I shouldn't be stressed out about "covering everything." The seminar also reinforced my determination not to micromanage and correct my kids (unless asked). I loved the 3 goals--simple, direct, purposeful. THANK YOU!!
I learned ways to inspire my kids through. I realized that my mind thinks conveyor belt a lot without me even realizing it. I will be setting up a more targeted plan for my kids to BUILD CONFIDENCE, not just master skills and acquire knowledge. It expands the mind and compels one to think more deeply about what their children really need with their education.
I learned that there are so many resources out there to create fun projects with and I can actually Do This!!!! Wow! All of her book recommendations have been great. I appreciate her use of psychology for learning and teaching us about learning styles and personalities etc. I left thinking, "This is the answer to my prayer. I can continue to homeschool next year because of this."
We learned a lot from the seminar. We are just beginning homeschoolers. I really loved how Amy broke it down stages of learning. It makes so much more sense now. I feel a lot more prepared now.
I would absolutely recommend this seminar to anyone who has ANY children at all. It de-mystified the learning stages for me and gave me some things I need to be doing everyday to really help my kids.

Based on the Myers-Briggs personality types, this book guides you through determining your child's personality and then responding accordingly as both a parent and a teacher to each unique personality. Choose curriculum and activities that are the best fit for your child's personality and so the most productive.
This is a great book to start with. Most parents and even professional teachers teach in their own preferred learning style. This book will help you identify your child's learning style and so deliver instruction and choose curriculum that is the best fit for each individual child.
